SOMATIC HEALING
What is Somatic Healing?
Somatic healing is a body-centered approach to processing stress, trauma, and stored emotional experiences. The word "somatic" comes from the Greek soma, meaning "body." Unlike traditional talk therapy, which primarily engages the mind, somatic healing recognizes that our bodies hold onto experiences — especially difficult or traumatic ones — long after our minds have moved on.
This is often described as the body "keeping score." Stress, grief, and trauma don't just live in our thoughts; they can become stored in our muscles, nervous system, and posture, showing up as chronic tension, fatigue, anxiety, or a general sense of disconnection from ourselves.
Somatic healing works by gently guiding you back into your body — helping you notice, release, and move through what's been held there, so you can feel more grounded, present, and at home in yourself.

How does it work?
In a somatic energy healing session, we work together using gentle movement, breathwork, guided body awareness, and touch (when welcomed) to help your nervous system safely process and release stored tension or trauma.
I incorporate personalized crystal therapy — intuitively selecting crystals for your session and placing them on or around your body to support grounding, balance, and release. I also use Tibetan singing bowls and cymbals, whose sound and vibration help regulate the nervous system and support your body in releasing what it's holding.
Rather than asking you to relive or retell painful experiences in detail, somatic work focuses on what your body is holding right now — sensations, tightness, emotions — and gently invites release through the body itself, rather than through analysis or conversation alone.
Sessions are always paced according to your comfort and nervous system capacity. You will never be pushed beyond what feels safe; instead, you'll be lovingly guided to explore only what feels right for you in that moment.
